Ep 1. Hot Water

In the season 7 premiere of American Dad, titled "Hot Water," the Smith family faces a series of hilarious mishaps after Stan installs a hot tub in their backyard. After getting the tub up and running, the family quickly becomes obsessed with it, with Stan even going so far as to set up a weekly hot tub night for himself, his wife Francine, and their friends.

However, things start to go wrong when Jeff, Hayley's slacker boyfriend, accidentally breaks the hot tub cover while trying to jump into the water. This sets off a series of events that results in the Smith family being banned from using their own backyard by their overzealous Homeowner's Association.

Desperate to get their backyard back, Stan comes up with a plan to regain favor with the HOA by volunteering to organize their upcoming charity auction. But as the auction approaches, things start to go wrong yet again, with each member of the Smith family getting involved in their own hilarious schemes to try and make the auction a success.

Meanwhile, Roger, the family's sarcastic alien housemate, decides to use the hot tub as an opportunity to seduce a new neighbor. However, his plans quickly take a dark turn when he becomes fixated on the woman and starts to stalk her.

As the episode reaches its climax, the Smiths must navigate a series of obstacles, both comedic and dramatic, in order to save their backyard and help their friends and neighbors in the process.

Fans of American Dad will find plenty to love in "Hot Water," with its trademark blend of wacky humor, offbeat characters, and underlying heart. The episode also serves as an enjoyable start to what promises to be another exciting season of this beloved animated sitcom.
