In American Idol season 7 episode 21, Week 9B: Top 12 Results Show, viewers are in for a nerve-wracking episode as the top 12 contestants anxiously await the results of America's votes. Host Ryan Seacrest kicks off the show by introducing the judges, Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul, and Simon Cowell, and recapping the previous night's performances.

The good news is that the top 12 get to perform as a group once again before the first elimination is announced. This week, they perform a medley of songs from Motown legends, including Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, and The Supremes. The group performance is lively and upbeat, featuring plenty of coordinated dance moves and harmonies.

After the group performance, Ryan Seacrest gets down to business and reveals the bottom three contestants based on viewer votes. The bottom three contestants must then perform one last time for the judges in hopes of earning the "Judges' Save." If they fail to impress the judges, they will be eliminated from the competition.

As the bottom three contestants take the stage, the tension is palpable. They are each given a chance to perform their song of choice, and the judges give their critiques. The judges then deliberate and decide whether to use their save or let the contestant go home.

In between the results and the final performance, viewers are treated to a special performance by a celebrity guest. This week, the guest performer is none other than Motown legend Smokey Robinson. He performs his hit song "Tracks of My Tears" to thunderous applause from the audience.

The tension builds as Ryan Seacrest announces the next round of results. The remaining nine contestants are brought forward, and Ryan reveals which of them are safe and which are in danger of going home.

Finally, it's time for the last chance performance by the eliminated contestant and the judges' decision. As the eliminated contestant takes the stage, they are given one last opportunity to impress the judges. The judges then deliberate and must unanimously agree to use their save in order to keep the contestant in the competition.

If the save is used, the contestant gets to stay for one more week and the following week, two contestants will be eliminated. If the save is not used, the contestant is sent home. The judges' decision is announced, and the eliminated contestant is revealed.

American Idol season 7 episode 21, Week 9B: Top 12 Results Show, is a rollercoaster of emotions. From the group performance to the tense elimination process, viewers will be on the edge of their seats throughout the episode. With the added bonus of a guest performance by Smokey Robinson, this episode is not to be missed.
