Ep 2. An Indian Reunion

In American Pickers season 4 episode 2, titled An Indian Reunion, the show's hosts Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz embark on another cross-country road trip to search for valuable antiques and collectibles. This time, they head to South Dakota to participate in a huge motorcycle rally known as Sturgis.

Jim explains that he's been collecting bikes for over fifty years and has a special affinity for Indian motorcycles since they were built in the area where he grew up.

As they browse through the collection, Mike and Frank notice a few Indian 4 motorcycles that are in rough shape but appear to be worth restoring. They negotiate with Jim and agree to purchase a few of the bikes and some other Indian memorabilia. However, when they try to load up the bikes, they realize that they're too heavy to move by hand and need to find a way to get them out of the garage.

Mike comes up with a brilliant idea to use an old Indian motorcycle that he had purchased earlier to pull the bikes out using a custom trailer. After a few tense moments, the guys are able to successfully load up the bikes and head to their next pick.

Later in the episode, the guys visit another local collector named Greg who is known for his love of Indian motorcycles. Greg has a unique piece of history, a 1938 Indian Four. This bike is extremely rare to find and only a few still exist today. It's also the bike that the legendary Evel Knievel used in his early stunt performances before he switched to Harley Davidson motorcycles.

Mike and Frank are excited to see the bike and negotiate a deal to purchase it. They're thrilled to add this incredible piece of motorcycle history to their collection.

Throughout the episode, Mike and Frank also connect with other collectors and enthusiasts who share their passion for vintage motorcycles. They learn about the history of the Indian Motorcycle Company, which was a major competitor to Harley Davidson in the early part of the 20th century. They also gain insight into the world of motorcycle restoration and customization, which continues to be a popular hobby today.
