Ep 3. I Swear to God.

In episode 3 of Angels of Death, entitled "I Swear to God," we pick up where we left off with Rachel and Zack still navigating the labyrinthine building they find themselves trapped in. Having just escaped a group of homicidal maniacs in episode 2, Rachel's under immense pressure to stay alive and find a way out, something she can't do without Zack's help.

The episode begins with Rachel discovering Zack's backstory, which includes a traumatic past involving his family. This discovery humanizes Zack in a way that we haven't seen before and starts to explain why he's so unrelentingly violent towards others. As the two continue to search for a way out of the building, they come across a series of obstacles including a locked door, an elevator that doesn't work, and various traps set up to kill anyone who tries to escape.

As they explore the building, Rachel and Zack run into a man named Eddie who claims to be a doctor. However, it soon becomes clear that he's not who he says he is, and that he's actually one of the building's inhabitants who's been driven mad by the mysterious "floor masters" who control it. In order to survive their encounter with Eddie, Rachel and Zack must fight against not only him but a group of his fellow crazies who are also out for blood.

Throughout the episode, it becomes increasingly clear that Rachel's past is just as dark as Zack's, with flashbacks revealing a childhood marred by tragedy and abuse. These revelations not only give us a better understanding of Rachel's character but also add to the show's overall themes of mental illness and trauma.

As the episode reaches its climax, Rachel and Zack find themselves face to face with Danny, the sadistic floor master who's been tormenting them since they arrived. In order to defeat him, they must use all their wits and strength, providing us with one of the most intense fight scenes of the entire series so far.

"I Swear to God" is a powerful episode of Angels of Death that deepens our understanding of both Rachel and Zack while also pushing the show's overarching narrative forward. With its dark themes, heart-stopping action, and emotional depth, it's a must-see for fans of the series and an excellent introduction for newcomers.
