As the tenth episode of Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day, entitled "Fireworks," begins, the group of friends is preparing for the summer fireworks festival. Tensions are high among them, however, as the unresolved feelings and issues between them continue to simmer.

Jinta is particularly troubled, haunted by visions of Menma, the ghostly presence that only he can see. His attempts to understand and communicate with her are increasingly fraught, as he struggles to reconcile his own feelings with those of his former friends.

Meanwhile, tensions between the others continue to rise, fuelled in part by the arrival of Anaru's mother, who is keenly interested in her daughter's relationship with Jinta. Anaru herself is struggling with her own feelings of guilt and inadequacy, unmoored by the unexpected arrival of someone from her past.

As the festival begins, the friends gather on a rooftop to watch the fireworks, each lost in their own thoughts and emotions. Jinta, in particular, is haunted by Menma's presence, unable to shake the feeling that she is trying to tell him something important.

As the fireworks reach their climax, however, something unexpected happens: Menma's presence becomes tangible, and the friends gather around her in amazement. In this moment, it becomes clear that Menma is not just a figment of Jinta's imagination, but a real presence with a message for them all.

What that message is, and how the friends will respond to it, remains to be seen. But for now, they are united by the experience of seeing Menma in person, and the hope that they may finally be able to reconcile their past with their present.
