The series entitled Aria the Scarlet Ammo is an animated film which is concerned about the life of Kinji Toyama a high school student. At the time he was studying at a very popular institution known as the Tokyo Butei High School. This school was such that students were specially and professionally trained towards obtaining the Butei a recognized qualification was introduced to combat the rising crime rate in the area. Holders of this qualification were usually very skilled and well armed towards carrying out various tasks.

Kinji was determined to leave the academy and was just about to do so when he was assaulted by a mysterious murderer who was out to kill everyone involved in Butei. Fortunately for Kinji someone came to his rescue and the murderer had to flee. Kinji who had wanted to quit the Butei on second thought changed his mind after what he went through and this marked an important point in his life.

Kinji did not write one of the examinations during the main term as such he got a fail grade. He had an unusual trait which permitted him do certain things out of the ordinary which his mates could not do. The Hysteria Mode as it is known was responsible for that. As a consequence of this mode he fell in love with one of his course mates known as Aria and the two got along quite well.

Aria Kanzaki the girl whom Kinji liked was the main female character in the series and also studied Butei alongside Kinji. She was very talented and a great fighter too. She was very protective of kinji and even protected him from other ladies around.

Shirayuki Hotogi was another girl in the school who was interested in dating Kinji but was disappointed to learn about Kinji and Aria and sorted to murder Aria.

It was written by Chugaku Akamatsu. Illustrations for the series was done by Kobuichi and publishing by Media factory.

  • Someday Aria Company will be under Akari's care. But Akari isn't sure she'll ever be confident enough to handle such a big responsibility.

  • One day it will be Akari's Aria Company. But that day might come sooner than she ever expected. Will she be ready to face the future that lies ahead?

  • Aika informs Akari of some shocking news. She explains the two of them can no longer practice together.

  • Alice is very busy and consumed with work. Although she enjoys the life she has now, she still misses her time spent with Akari and Aika.

  • Akari, Aika, and Alice decide to partake in an old Manhome tradition, Moon Gazing. Aika secretly invites Al to their get-together, but for some reason, he hasn't shown up yet.

  • Alice just graduated from middle school and she is looking forward to practicing with Akari and Aika. Athena suggests they finally go on the picnic they've been planning. That's when Alice's world changes.

  • Athena becomes overloaded with work and has to cancel her picnic date with Alice. She tries to chase after Alice to apologize, but then she trips, falls, and somehow loses her memory!

  • Akari and Alicia are going to visit Anna, the woman who trained with Alicia in the early days of the Aria Company. Many memories will be shared on this visit, including how the Aria Company was first founded.

  • Akari and Alicia have a playful day when they roll snow into a giant ball. During this time Alicia slowly reveals secrets about her childhood.

  • Akari, Aika, and Alice have been given their latest assignment: They must host a party on the Festa del Redentore. They rent a large boat and start brushing up on their hostess skills, but Akari can't help but be a little distracted as she hasn't heard from Ai in a while, and all her emails have gone unanswered.

  • Alicia and Akari give a tour to an elderly couple who have come to Neo-Venezia to celebrate their anniversary. Even though the husband is tough on the outside, he still wants what's best for his wife, and it's up to the girls to help him create a celebration that she'll remember always.

  • Akari spots a woman dressed in black with her face covered with a thick veil. Aika is reminded of the legend of an angry spirit come to life. Supposedly the ghost kidnaps any gondolier foolish enough to take her on board.

  • While Aika is stuck in bed after catching a cold, she wonders if Akari and Alice are slacking off. She soon decides to sneak out of bed to spy on them.

  • Aika leans a little too close to a grill and catches her long, beautiful hair on fire! How will this hot-tempered beauty handle losing something that was so precious to her?

  • On the night before her old gondola is set to be taken away, Akari and Alicia decide to have an evening picnic out on the water. As they laugh and talk, Alicia tells her stories of the gondola and how it was an important part of her life as an apprentice.

  • Akari receives disturbing news when she takes her gondola in for a routine inspection. The repairman explains the gondola is too old for tourism use and should be sold for parts.

  • Akari, Akatsuki, and Akria learn about Al's childhood while eating lunch. They also hear about the mysterious young boy who put Akatsuki squarely in his place.

  • Akari realizes the Aria Company doesn't have palina, which is a tall, decorated pole used to hitch gondolas. She soon decides to make one but discovers it's tough work building something from scratch.

  • Alice has created a new challenge for herself: When she walks home from school, she can only step on shadows. This is an ironclad law for her, but try as she might, she keeps failing.

  • Kyochikutou's sister, Suimitsutou, goes on a rampage while demanding to have her sister returned to her. Aria, Akari and the others work together to bring her down.

  • Akari decides to fight Kyochikutou together with her friends. Kyochikutou demands that Akari give her Takamakuri, one of the Mamiya techniques, and threatens to kill everyone if Akari doesn't give her what she wants.

  • Quartet refers to an actual fighting test between two four-person groups and is a requirement for all the Year 1 students at Butei High. Akari forms a group with Shino, Raika and Kirin and trains to defeat their opponent, Urara Takachiho's team.

  • Kirin Shima is a junior high school student and an intern at Butei High School. Last year, she was an Amica with Riko Mine (current Year 2 student); however, she's determined to become Raika Hino's Amica this year. Will Raika accept her request?

  • Akari Mamiya is in Year 1 at Tokyo Butei High School. Although she is currently in E Rank, her goal is to become a BUTEI like Aria Kanzaki, an Upperclassman in Year 2. In order to receive training from Aria, Akari submits a request to become Aria's Amica.
