They all gather at the secret base they used to play in as kids, but it has become overgrown and decrepit over the years. As they reminisce, they begin to remember more about their childhood and the time they spent with Menma.

During their gathering, they discover an old tunnel that they used to play in that has become flooded. Jinta is hesitant to enter the tunnel, as it was the site of a tragedy that he has been trying to forget. However, Menma urges him to go in and face his fears.

As they explore the tunnel, they discover that it leads to an old abandoned factory. The group decides to clean up the factory so that they can use it as a place to hang out. While cleaning, they find an old photo of their group along with Menma. Seeing this photo brings back a flood of memories and emotions for everyone.

As they continue to clean, tension begins to rise between members of the group. Some are more eager to preserve their childhood memories and resist change, while others want to move on and create new memories. Jinta, still struggling with his grief over Menma's death, lashes out at his friends.
