Antique Bakery Season 1 Episode 4 Recipe 4: The True Meaning of a Nightmare

Park Eun-kyo is serving bread to her children at home when she realizes that the loaves are not perfect. She starts to get very anxious, and the anxiety worsens as she begins to have a terrible nightmare about her failed bread. Meanwhile, Tachibana, Chikage, and Ono are experimenting with different types of bread, as they try to come up with something unique that will set their bakery apart from the competition. Ono suggests making a bread with crushed rose petals, which he believes will be a big hit with female customers. Tachibana and Chikage are skeptical, but they decide to give it a try. As they work on the bread, they discover that they have very different approaches to their profession: Tachibana is all about the science of baking, while Chikage focuses on intuition and emotion. They clash over their methods, but eventually come to a compromise. Meanwhile, Eun-kyo's anxiety is driving her to the brink of a breakdown. The friend offers Eun-kyo a job at the bakery, thinking that it might be just the thing she needs to overcome her fears. Finally, the bread is ready to bake. Tachibana puts the loaves in the oven, and they come out perfectly. The rose petals give the bread a rich aroma, and it sells out within hours. Tachibana and Chikage celebrate their success, but Ono is haunted by a feeling of emptiness. He confronts Tachibana and Chikage, telling them that they're missing the true meaning of baking. They don't understand the emotional connection that people have with bread, he says, and they're only interested in creating a product that will sell. His outburst shocks Tachibana and Chikage, and they try to understand what he means. In the end, they come to an understanding: baking is more than just a business, it's a way to connect with people on a deep level.
