Antiques Road Trip is a British TV series that follows antiques experts as they go on a road trip across the UK in search of rare and valuable antiques. Season 7 episode 2, named Episode 2, is no different and features two expert antique dealers embarking on a journey across Kent and Sussex to see what treasures they can find.

The first expert is Charles Hanson, a well-known and highly respected antique dealer with over 20 years of experience. He is joined by newbie dealer Louise Gostelow, who is keen to make her mark on the antiques world and has a lot to prove.

The episode starts with the pair heading to their first auction of the day in the town of Lewes. They carefully peruse the items on sale and spot a few potential bargains, including a Victorian inkwell, a pair of Georgian silver sugar tongs, and a set of retro kitchen scales.

After some intense bidding, Charles manages to secure the inkwell at a great price, believing that it will fetch a good profit at a later auction. Louise, on the other hand, is outbid on the silver tongs and the scales and is starting to feel a little disheartened.

Next, the duo heads to a local antiques fair where they hope to find some hidden gems. However, once again, Charles seems to have the upper hand when he spots a rare Chinese vase from the Qing dynasty. He manages to negotiate a good price and believes he can make a significant profit on it at a later auction.

Louise, however, still hasn't managed to find anything she deems worthy and is starting to feel the pressure. As they move on to the next location, she begins to wonder if she's cut out for the competitive world of antiques dealing.

Their next stop is a country house that is home to a collection of valuable antiques. Here, they come across a stunning 18th-century mahogany secretaire bookcase, which catches both of their eyes. The seller is asking for a high price, but Charles believes it's worth the investment and decides to take the risk.

The final leg of their journey takes them to an auction in the town of Cranbrook. It's here that Louise finally strikes gold when she spots an elegant Victorian gold bracelet with a diamond clasp. She wins the bidding and is elated to have found something of real value.

Charles, too, manages to secure a few bargains at the auction, including a collection of 19th-century Staffordshire figures and a rare book on geology from the 1800s.

At the end of the episode, the pair adds up their profits and losses and realizes that it's been a decent day for both of them. They bid each other farewell, but not before Louise admits that she has learned a lot from Charles and has been inspired to keep pursuing her passion for antiques.

Overall, Episode 2 of Antiques Road Trip season 7 is a captivating and entertaining episode that showcases the competitive and unpredictable world of antiques dealing. Whether you're an antique enthusiast or simply enjoy watching reality TV shows, this episode is definitely worth a watch.
