In the Antiques Road Trip season 7 episode 9, the two antique experts, Charles and Margie, take off on another adventure across the UK to find valuable, rare, and interesting antiques which can be sold at auction.

The episode starts with the two experts visiting an antique fair in the county of Hampshire. Margie is excited to find some vintage textiles and pottery while Charles is more in the market for some rare and valuable silverware. Margie and Charles meet some interesting dealers, but it is not long before they both find some hidden gems. Charles stumbles upon a rare silver tea caddy while Margie discovers a beautiful antique Japanese kimono.

After leaving Hampshire, the two experts then go on to a much larger fair located in London called the Portobello Road Market. This market is famous for its diverse array of antiques, collectibles, and vintage items which can be found at the many stalls on the street. Margie and Charles begin exploring the market and come across a range of interesting and rare items. Charles, of course, is drawn to the many silver dealers in the market and manages to pick up some valuable antique silver cutlery, while Margie is fascinated with some Georgian-era portraits and starts to negotiate for a better price on a particular piece.

Next stop for the antique road trip is the ancient town of Lewes in East Sussex. The town is full of charming antique shops and Margie and Charles quickly find themselves browsing the multiple stores. Margie is interested in buying a marble sculpture, but Charles isn't convinced it's unique enough to make good money at the auction. Instead, he finds a rare silver box with a hidden drawer which he feels confident will do well at the auction. After a busy day of antique shopping, the two settle on a hotel overlooking the sea and reflect on their discoveries.

The next day sees the experts almost on home territory as they visit antique shops familiar to them all around Kent. They are looking for some fantastic textiles and are spoilt for choice during their numerous shop visits. At one, Margie finds some gorgeous hand-sewn linen napkins with striking embroidery while Charles is drawn to a rare fur cloak. They both notice a beautiful oak table, but after a quick discussion, they decide to miss out on this piece and concentrate on selling their other finds.

The final part of their journey sees the experts travel to the auction house in Sussex to see what their antiques will be worth. There are a range of dealers and enthusiasts present, all interested in getting their hands on these unique antiques. Margie is delighted to see her Georgian portrait selling for a good price, while Charles’s silverware fetches an excellent amount.

The two experts finish the auction happy with their winnings, but both are reflective of some of the gems they missed out on and jokingly wonder if they made the right choices. Yet, it's another exciting and successful road trip for both Charles and Margie, who return home with some more money in their pockets, and a sense of satisfaction from the treasures they found and sold. With more adventures around the UK still to be had, this is just another chapter in their ongoing quest to find the most unique and valuable antiques that the country has to offer.
