Ep 1. The Monster of the Abyss

In the first episode of Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest, we meet the protagonist, Hajime Nagumo, a high school student who is living a pretty mundane life. One day, while on a field trip to a fantasy world, Hajime and his classmates find themselves sucked into a labyrinth full of monsters.

The students are given weapons and told to fight for their survival, but Hajime quickly realizes that his weapon is weak compared to his classmates'. Despite his initial feelings of hopelessness, he manages to make his way through the labyrinth and reaches the bottom level, where he encounters a powerful monster known as the Behemoth.

Hajime's weapon proves to be useless against the Behemoth, and the monster easily overpowers him. Realizing that he's about to die, Hajime uses a powerful magic spell that transports him to safety, but not without losing an arm in the process.

Left alone and injured, Hajime sets out to find a way to survive and ultimately, to escape the labyrinth. Along the way, he meets a vampire named Yue, who offers to help him in exchange for his blood. Together, they continue their journey and face more challenges.
