Ep 5. The King Crumbles

In season 2 episode 5 of Ax Men, titled "The King Crumbles," the competition to be the top logging crew in the Pacific Northwest heats up as the loggers face their toughest challenges yet.

The episode starts with the Rygaard crew struggling to keep up with their production as they search for new logging sites. But their luck changes when they land a promising contract with Simpson Logging Company, which promises to help them reach their production goals.

Meanwhile, the dreadlocked greenhorn, Buckin' Billy Ray, continues to prove his worth to the Pihl crew. His hard work and dedication to the job has earned him a spot among the crew's top loggers, but he must continue to improve if he wants to be a permanent member.

Over at the Conner crew, tempers flare as one of the loggers refuses to follow safety regulations, putting everyone on the crew at risk. Tensions come to a head when the crew's leader, Gabe, confronts the rogue logger and demands that he follow the rules or leave the site.

As the competition heats up, the logging crews face their toughest challenges yet. The Rygaard crew battles extreme weather conditions and treacherous terrain as they race to complete their contract with Simpson Logging Company. Meanwhile, the Pihl crew faces a tight deadline as they struggle to transport a massive log through a rocky terrain.

But the biggest challenge comes when the King of the Hill, a massive 15-foot-wide cedar tree, crumbles as the Pihl crew tries to fell it. The loggers must act quickly to prevent the tree from causing further damage to the surrounding area, while also salvaging what they can from the fallen cedar.

With so much at stake and tensions running high, the crews must work together to overcome their toughest challenges yet. Who will come out on top and be crowned the top logging crew in the Pacific Northwest? Find out in "The King Crumbles," season 2 episode 5 of Ax Men.
