Ep 7. Enemy Of My Enemies

They have become a powerful force in the city, which is evident from their heinous activities, including drug smuggling, human trafficking, and even assassination. To make matters worse, the Triad attaches great value to loyalty and categorizes betrayal as a capital offense. Hence, attempting to gather information about them is a risky strategy that threatens the lives of Backstrom and his team while also putting their investigation at risk.

Despite several challenges and red herrings, the team keeps working on the case. They discover that the rival Triad leader, Benny Wong (Andrew Koji), a known criminal, has recruited a hitman named Adrian Stokes (Robert Baker) to kill one of the members of the opposing Triad. While surveilling the meeting between Benny Wong and Adrian Stokes, Backstrom and his team learn that the target in question is not the man they thought he would be. In fact, they were tasked with killing Li Cheung's father, Michael Cheung.

While this seems like the end of the case and a quick arrest of Adrian Stokes, Backstrom senses that something is not adding up. He believes that there is more to the story and deduces the real motive behind the murder. Backstrom makes the final breakthrough and concludes that he knew who was the real enemy of his enemy. In the subsequent final scene, the team rushes to stop a powerful Triad group following a thrilling car chase and nail-biting suspense.

Overall, Backstrom season 1 episode 7 is a must-watch for fans of crime dramas, thrillers, and mysteries.
