Ep 1. Watch the Throne

The team's leader, Oh Goo-tak, tells them that if they help the police department solve the case, they will receive a reduced sentence. Initially, the criminals are hesitant to work with one another, but they finally agree when they realize that they can help each other out in each other's respective areas of expertise.

The team first finds a lead in the case when they tap into the phone of the deceased's wife, who is also a suspect. The wife tells her lover about the murder and the suitcase that contained her husband's head. When the team investigates the lead, they find that the lover has already disposed of the suitcase, but they discover the murder weapon in the process.

The team further investigates the crime and finds that the murder is the result of an internal power struggle within the criminal organization. The dispute is between the head of the organization, Jang Sung-cheol, and his second in command, Kim Sung-tae. When the team finally catches Kim, they find out that he was responsible for the murder and that Jang Sung-cheol ordered it to take over the organization.

As the episode comes to a close, the team realizes that they are in too deep. They may have solved the initial case, but the criminals they were after are far more dangerous than they ever thought. With the mission not even close to being over, it seems that this is just the first step in a long journey for the team of Bad Guys.
