Beerland Season 1 Episode 2 New York City

In season one, episode two of Beerland, we are taken on a journey through New York City to explore the city's best craft beers. Host Meg Gill meets up with local home brewers to taste their creations and to learn about their brewing process.

The episode starts at the Bedford Cheese Shop, where Meg meets up with Alicia and Eamon Rockey, co-founders of Rochelle's, a speakeasy-style bar located in the Lower East Side. After tasting a few different beers, Meg selects two to take to the next location for a blind taste test with the home brewers.

Next, Meg heads to Brooklyn to meet up with Sam Richardson, founder and head brewer of Other Half Brewing. Other Half is known for their flavorful, hazy IPAs and has quickly become a staple in the craft beer scene. Sam takes Meg on a tour of the brewery, explaining the brewing process and how he selects the ingredients for each beer. Meg selects one of Sam's IPAs to take to the next location for the blind taste test.

The blind taste test takes place at Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, a popular restaurant in Harlem. Meg, along with the home brewers, taste the three beers and vote on their favorite. The winner is revealed and Meg gets to go behind the scenes at their brewery to taste more of their beers and learn about their brewing process.

The episode ends with Meg at Torch and Crown Brewing, a brand new brewery in Manhattan. She meets up with John Dantzler, one of the founders, to taste their beers and learn about their journey to opening a brewery in the heart of New York City.
