Ep 2. Can't Touch This!

Can't Touch This! is the second episode of the fifth season of Below Deck Mediterranean. The crew of the luxury yacht, Lady Michelle, gear up for their next charter set to embark from Corfu, Greece, with a diverse group of clients.

The episode begins with the captain of the yacht, Sandy Yawn, briefing the crew on the upcoming charter. She emphasizes on the importance of attention to detail and top-notch service as the guests have extravagant requests. The crew is also introduced to their new chef, Mathew Shea, who has worked in Michelin-starred restaurants and is eager to display his skills in the yacht's galley.

As the guests arrive, the crew has their first encounter with the affluent and demanding clients. The group comprises of a wealthy businessman and his family, which includes his wife, children, and their significant others. The first night of the charter, the crew prepares a lavish dinner that includes a delicious seafood platter, steak, and desserts. However, Mathew's forte in the kitchen is soon to be challenged as the guests request a party with an all-night buffet, tacos, and a customized drink menu. As he struggles to come up with the right dishes to impress the guests, Captain Sandy is quick to provide him with constructive feedback, urging him to work harder and meet the guests' expectations.

Despite the challenges faced, the crew pulls off a successful party night, keeping the guests entertained with a karaoke session and excellent cocktails. The chemistry between the crew members is also tested when they have to split into two teams and work on different tasks simultaneously. The interior team and the deck team work together to ensure that the yacht is pristine, and every detail is attended to, including the placement of all the flower arrangements on the yacht.

The next day, the guests are excited about a day at the beach, and the crew ensures that they have everything they need, from water toys to a beach picnic. However, the day at the beach is not without its challenges, including an unwelcome surprise for one of the guests who steps on a sea urchin and needs medical attention. Captain Sandy shows her experience in navigating such situations, and the guest is attended to and comforted by the crew.

As the day comes to a close, the deck team is tasked with constructing a floating beach bar for the guests to enjoy cocktails while they soak up the sunset. The pressure is on as the guests closely watch the crew's every move, and despite a minor setback, the beach bar is successfully completed, impressing the guests and earning the crew a well-deserved break.

Can't Touch This! highlights the glamorous and exciting life of the crew on a luxury yacht, but it also offers a glimpse into the hard work and dedication required to meet the clients' high expectations continually. The episode captures the dynamic between the crew members as they navigate the challenges presented to them, making the show an entertaining and engaging watch.
