Big Food Bucket List is a food and travel show that explores some of the biggest and most adventurous foods across North America. In season 2, episode 14, entitled Lucky Benny, the host explores the culinary delights of Montreal, Canada.

The episode begins with the host, John Catucci, arriving in Montreal, excited to explore the city's unique food culture. He begins his journey with a visit to Schwartz's Deli, a Montreal institution that is famous for their smoked meat sandwiches. The deli's secret recipe for smoked meat has been passed down for generations, and John is excited to try it for himself.

Next, John heads over to La Banquise, a restaurant known for their poutine. Poutine is a classic Quebecois dish that consists of french fries, cheese curds, and gravy. La Banquise is famous for their different variations of poutine, and John is eager to try them all. From classic poutine to a breakfast poutine topped with bacon and eggs, John indulges in the cheesy goodness of this local favorite.

Moving on to dessert, John heads to St-Viateur Bagel, a family-owned bakery that has been making Montreal-style bagels for over 60 years. Unlike New York-style bagels, Montreal-style bagels are thinner and denser with a slightly sweeter flavor. John tries a variety of their bagels, including their famous sesame bagels and their unique chocolate chip bagels.

Continuing his exploration of Montreal's food scene, John visits Wilensky's Light Lunch, a classic lunch counter that serves up a unique sandwich called the "Special." The Special consists of a slice of bologna and salami topped with a slice of cheese, all served between two slices of grilled bread. The sandwich has been a local favorite for over 80 years, and John is excited to give it a try.

For his final stop, John visits Lucky's, a classic Montreal diner that has been operating since the 1950s. Lucky's is famous for their "All-Day Breakfast," which consists of a massive platter of breakfast favorites like eggs, bacon, sausages, and pancakes. John is blown away by the size of the platter and struggles to finish it all.

Throughout the episode, John also meets with local chefs and food experts who help him better understand Montreal's unique food culture. From smoked meat to poutine and bagels, Montreal has a rich culinary history, and Lucky Benny showcases some of the city's best and most iconic food destinations.

Overall, Lucky Benny is an enjoyable episode that highlights the unique and diverse food culture of Montreal. With mouth-watering dishes and fascinating food history, this episode is sure to make viewers hungry and inspired to explore Montreal's food scene for themselves.
