In the latest episode of Big Food Bucket List, host John Catucci hits the road to explore some of the best coastal cuisine in North America. From the West Coast to the East Coast, John takes viewers on a culinary adventure featuring delicious seafood, refreshing drinks, and stunning views.
The episode kicks off in Vancouver, British Columbia, where John visits a local craft brewery to sample some of their unique brews. He then heads to the nearby Granville Island Public Market to try some of the freshest seafood in the city. From oysters to salmon, John indulges in some of the best seafood dishes Vancouver has to offer.
Next, John travels to Seattle, Washington, where he meets up with a chef who specializes in Pacific Northwest cuisine. Together, they visit a local farmer's market to gather fresh ingredients for a mouth-watering seafood dish. The chef then takes John to his restaurant, where they prepare the dish together and enjoy it with a glass of local wine.
After Seattle, John heads to San Francisco, California, where he visits a famous bakery known for their sourdough bread. He samples some freshly-baked bread and learns about the rich history of sourdough in the city. John then heads to a nearby seafood restaurant to try some of the famous Dungeness crab.
The episode then takes a detour to the other side of the coast, where John visits Cape Cod, Massachusetts. He hops on a fishing boat and tries his hand at catching some fresh cod. After a successful fishing trip, John heads to a nearby restaurant to cook up the fish, New England-style.
Finally, John ends his coastal journey in Florida, where he visits a restaurant that specializes in seafood boils. He joins the owners in preparing a massive seafood feast, complete with shrimp, crab, and crawfish.
