Zimmern also experiences a unique voodoo ceremony and learns about the role that food plays in the practice.

Zimmern then heads to Colorado to explore the world of edible insects. Zimmern also visits a restaurant in Denver that serves burgers made with buffalo worms and crickets.

The final stop on Zimmern's journey is Los Angeles, where he visits a haunted hotel and tries some dishes inspired by Hollywood horror movies. He meets with a chef who specializes in creating creepy and gruesome dishes such as "eyeball martinis" and "brain cupcakes." Zimmern also tries a burger made with lamb heart and beef marrow, which is said to be the favorite dish of infamous serial killer and cannibal Jeffrey Dahmer.
