Ep 8. Band on the Run

Cory and Shawn have decided to form their own rock band, which they call "The Exits," with Cory as the lead vocalist and Shawn as the lead guitarist. They want to start playing gigs at local venues, hoping to make a name for themselves and impress girls.

Much to their surprise, their band gets its first gig at Chubbie's, the local hangout spot. However, their excitement is short-lived when they discover that they have to sell 75 tickets to friends and family in order to secure the spot. Cory and Shawn are determined to make it happen, but they soon discover that ticket-selling is not their forte.

Meanwhile, Eric is struggling in his history class and turns to Mr. Feeny for help. Mr. Feeny offers to tutor Eric and gives him a book to read, but Eric is less than enthusiastic about the idea of studying. He tries to find ways to cheat, but Mr. Feeny catches him in the act and gives him an important lesson in honesty and integrity.

As the day of the gig approaches, Cory and Shawn have only managed to sell a handful of tickets. Despite their disappointment, they decide to go through with the performance, hoping that they can impress the crowd and maybe even attract some new fans.

The night of the gig, the boys panic when they realize that they forgot the drum set. They rush to find a replacement, eventually borrowing one from a neighbor who is less than thrilled to loan it out. The boys manage to set up their equipment just in time for their performance, but they soon realize that they may have bitten off more than they can chew.

Their first song is a disaster, with Cory struggling to hit the notes and Shawn breaking a string on his guitar. The crowd starts to boo, and just when it seems like everything is going wrong, they get a surprise visit from an unexpected fan who offers to help them out.

Despite their rocky start, Cory and Shawn manage to pull off a great performance with the help of their new friend. They win over the crowd, impressing both their peers and a local band promoter, who offers them a spot as the opening act at a bigger venue.
