Ep 13. New Friends and Old

In Boy Meets World season 3 episode 13, titled "New Friends and Old", Cory Matthews (played by Ben Savage) struggles to balance his relationship with his childhood best friend Shawn Hunter (played by Rider Strong) and his new friendship with the pompous and wealthy Griff Hawkins (played by Adam Scott).

Griff takes a liking to Cory and invites him to hang out with his group of friends, which includes a group of snobby and materialistic teenagers who only care about money and status. Cory is initially thrilled to be a part of Griff's world and even starts to adopt his new friend's attitudes and behaviors.

However, when Cory realizes that Griff and his friends only care about appearances and have no real loyalty or kindness to each other, he begins to miss his old friend Shawn and their simple, genuine friendship.

Meanwhile, Shawn is feeling left out of Cory's life and starts to feel jealous of Griff. He tries to reconnect with Cory, but Griff's influence has taken over and Cory brushes him off.

As the episode progresses, Cory starts to see the error in his ways and realizes that true friendship is more important than impressing a group of superficial people. He apologizes to Shawn and the two friends reconcile.

"New Friends and Old" explores the themes of friendship, loyalty, and the challenges of fitting in and staying true to oneself. It also features standout performances from Savage and Strong, who continue to showcase their strong chemistry as best friends on screen.
