Ep 8. Rave On

In the season 3 episode 8 of Boy Meets World, titled Rave On, the Matthews household is in chaos as Eric is preparing for his Camp Anawanna reunion and Cory is getting ready to attend a rave. Alan, the patriarch of the family, tries to set some ground rules for his sons, but is continuously ignored.

Meanwhile, Cory wants to impress a girl named Dana, who is going to the rave with Shawn. Knowing that he is not the best dancer, he seeks help from his family and even enlists the help of Feeny to teach him some moves. To his surprise, Feeny is also planning to attend the same rave.

Eric, on the other hand, is struggling to find the perfect outfit for his reunion. He goes through a series of ridiculous and outdated fashion choices, which only aggravates the tension in the Matthew's household. He eventually settles on a bright and flashy outfit that looks like it belongs in the 70s.

As the rave begins, tensions rise as the Matthews siblings get into a heated argument over their outfits. However, all the drama is quickly forgotten when the police arrive to shut down the rave. Everyone, including Cory and Shawn, scatter to avoid getting in trouble with the law.

In the midst of the chaos, Eric arrives at the Matthews' home dressed in his loud reunion outfit. To his surprise, his family, who were previously making fun of him, now sees him as a hero for not getting arrested at the rave. The episode ends with the family, including Feeny, dancing to Eric's favorite 70s song.

Rave On explores the themes of independence, peer pressure, and growing up. Cory and Shawn's desire to attend the rave and impress a girlh highlights the pressure they feel to fit in with their peers, while Eric's reunion outfit reflects his desire to stand out from the crowd. Ultimately, the episode shows the importance of family and being true to oneself, even in the face of peer pressure.
