In Call of the Wildman season 3 episode 2 titled "All Skunked Up," viewers are taken on a wild ride with Turtleman as he works to resolve a stinky skunk predicament. The episode begins with Turtleman receiving a call from a frantic homeowner who has just discovered a family of skunks living under their porch. The homeowner is desperate to get rid of the skunks, but doesn't want to harm them.
Turtleman arrives on the scene and quickly assesses the situation. He determines that there are at least four skunks living under the porch, including a mother and her babies. He knows that he must be careful not to scare the skunks or they will spray their noxious scent all over the yard. Turtleman decides to use a humane skunk trap to catch the animals one by one and release them into the nearby woods.
The trap works well, and Turtleman is able to catch several of the skunks within a short period of time. However, things take a turn for the worse when the mother skunk becomes agitated and starts to spray. Turtleman is hit with the scent and quickly retreats, but not before the mother skunk sprays his trap. Now, any other skunks who enter the trap are certain to be sprayed as well.
Undeterred, Turtleman comes up with a new plan. He creates a makeshift skunk cleaning station in the woods, complete with tomato juice, a specially formulated skunk odor remover, and plenty of soap and water. Turtleman gets to work washing the skunks one by one, carefully avoiding their eyes and faces to prevent any harm. Remarkably, the skunks seem to enjoy the shower and even seem to relax in Turtleman's gentle hands.
As Turtleman works to rid the skunks of their stinky smell, he takes time to reflect on the importance of his job. He shares his deep love for all animals and the importance of treating them with kindness and respect. He also reflects on the growing threat of extinction facing many species around the world, and the urgent need to protect wildlife habitats and prevent further environmental damage.
