In Castle Town Dandelion season 1 episode 3, titled "I Want to Be Popular / First Errand / Life As an Idol," we see the Sakurada family adjusting to their new roles as popular figures in their community, with mixed results.
The episode opens with the family realizing that they need to become more well-known if they want to succeed in the upcoming election for the next monarch. Akane, the middle daughter, decides that the best way to boost their popularity is for the family to become their own campaign team, complete with posters and slogans. While her siblings are initially hesitant, they eventually agree to the plan and set about brainstorming their slogans.
Meanwhile, the youngest daughter, Shiori, is sent on her first errand by their mother. Despite her nervousness, she manages to successfully navigate the busy streets of Castle Town and complete her task, much to her family's delight.
Later, Akane decides that she wants to try her hand at being an idol, thinking that it will further boost the family's popularity. She enlists the help of a talent agency and embarks on a rigorous training regime to improve her singing and dancing skills. However, she discovers that life as an idol is not as glamorous as she initially thought, and struggles to keep up with the demands of her schedule.
As the episode comes to a close, we see the Sakurada family reflecting on what they've learned about popularity. While Akane realizes that there's more to being popular than just having catchy slogans, Shiori comes to the realization that sometimes it's the little victories, like completing her first errand, that can be the most rewarding.
