Ep 5. Jaylin & Ja'la

Jaylin and Ja'la have been talking for eight months, and while Jaylin is ready to make their relationship official, Ja'la is hesitant to commit. Jaylin believes that Ja'la is hiding something and may not be who she says she is, so he turns to Nev and Kamie for help. As they begin their investigation, Nev and Kamie notice that Ja'la has a lot of social media accounts but hardly any real pictures or videos. They also notice that Ja'la tends to avoid video chat and always gives excuses when Jaylin tries to schedule one. Despite the red flags, Jaylin is convinced that Ja'la is real and has genuine feelings for him. As they dig deeper, Nev and Kamie discover that Ja'la is not who she says she is and has been catfishing Jaylin the whole time. What's more shocking is when they finally reveal Ja'la's true identity; Jaylin knows her! Ja'la is actually someone Jaylin went to school with and had a crush on. Jaylin is heartbroken that someone he knows would do this to him, and he must confront Ja'la about why she would deceive him. The episode ends with a tense confrontation between Jaylin and Ja'la where they discuss the deceit and heartache.
