Matt Gutman has more. CBS News has obtained messages Lynette Hooker sent to a friend in January 2024 that indicate she had concerns about her husband, Brian, and their life at sea. Brian Hooker is currently in custody after Lynette disappeared during a nighttime boat ride with him in the Bahamas. Cristian Benavides has more. American Brian Hooker was released from custody Monday night after days of questioning by Bahamian authorities about the disappearance of his wife, Lynette, who's been missing since he says she went overboard while boating more than a week ago.
