Ep 7. Second Chances

Trace is back in Chesapeake Shores and has successfully negotiated with his record label to allow him to produce his album on his own terms. He is excited to start recording and enlists the help of Mick's friend Jack to build a studio on his property. While Trace is busy with his music, Abby worries about him neglecting his responsibilities at The Bridge and the rest of his life. She tries to talk to him about it, but Trace insists he can handle everything.

Meanwhile, Megan is struggling with the news that her cancer has returned and she needs to undergo more treatment. She confides in Mick about her fears and regrets about leaving her family all those years ago, and Mick encourages her to be open and honest with her children. Megan takes this advice and tells her family about her cancer, leading to a heartwarming moment of togetherness and support.

Bree is surprised by a visit from her high school boyfriend, Simon. He is in town for a book signing and wants to reconnect with Bree. Although she is hesitant at first, Bree agrees to have dinner with him. They reminisce about old times and Simon encourages Bree to pursue her writing dreams. However, when Simon's fiancee unexpectedly arrives, Bree realizes that she is not over him and needs to deal with her feelings.

Jess is still struggling to find her place in the world and feels pressure from her family to be successful. She lands an interview with a fashion magazine but is disappointed when they only want her to write a fluff piece about her mother's boutique. Jess decides to take matters into her own hands and writes an exposé about the fashion industry's harmful practices. While it may not be the article the magazine wanted, Jess is proud of herself for standing up for what she believes in.
