The movie follows the team of archaeologists led by Danny Freemont (Casper Van Dien) who are determined to find the lost tomb of the ancient Egyptian King Tutankhamun, affectionately known as 'King Tut.'

The team travels to Egypt, and with the help of a native guide, they begin their excavation. Despite initial difficulties, they soon discover the hidden entrance to the long-lost tomb. Upon entering the tomb, they discover a deadly obstacle course that claims the life of one of their team members, and they soon realize that the tomb has been cursed.

Their discovery attracts the attention of Morgan Sinclair (Jonathan Hyde); the billionaire businessman who financially supported the team's expedition. He has a nefarious plan in mind, and he will stop at nothing to obtain the treasures within the tomb. It becomes apparent to the team that Sinclair will go to any lengths to possess the priceless artifacts, even if it means risking their lives.

Dr. Azelia Barakat (Leonor Varela), an Egyptologist, joins the team and together, they unearth clues that lead them to a hidden chamber within the tomb, where they discover a live mummy
