In Season 2, Episode 6 of Chopped, four chefs will compete to see who can create the best dishes from a basket of mystery ingredients. The first round will have the contestants trying to make appetizers from a selection of ingredients that include Chinese water spinach, quail and black garlic. The chefs will be given 20 minutes to create their dishes and will be judged on their creativity, presentation and taste.
In the second round, the three remaining contestants will be tasked with creating entrées from another basket of mystery ingredients. This time, the basket will include frog legs, smoked cheddar cheese and wild boar. The chefs will have 30 minutes to make their meals and again will be judged on their creativity, presentation and taste.
The final round will feature just two chefs, who will be asked to create desserts from a basket of surprise ingredients that could include anything from sriracha to sea urchin. The chefs will have 30 minutes to make their desserts and, as always, will be judged on their creativity, presentation and taste.
Throughout the course of the episode, viewers will get to see the chefs as they work through the challenges and come up with their best dishes. There will be tension as the clock ticks down and the judges deliberate on each dish. And, as always, there will be surprises in store as the chefs try to incorporate unusual ingredients and make them shine.
