In Clockwork Planet season 1 episode 9, titled "Criminal Act," Naoto and RyuZU are on a mission to clear Marie's name after she is accused of sabotaging one of the Kyoto Grid's terminals. The two of them team up with AnchoR, a robot that they had previously encountered, and the trio set out to investigate the true culprit behind the sabotage.
As they begin their investigation, they discover that the culprit seems to have access to top-level security clearance and can manipulate the systems almost effortlessly. This leads them to believe that the culprit may be a high-ranking official within the government or a member of the royal family.
To gather more information, they decide to infiltrate a secret meeting that is being held by the government officials. Here, they overhear a plan to attack and destroy Naoto's hometown, Kyoto, using the Kyoto Grid.
