Code Monkeys is an animated series from 2007 that covers the interactions between the staff members of a GameVision, a video game company in the 1980s, while presenting everything in the style of an 8-bit video game; most episodes start with the text "Player 1 Start" and end with the text "Game Over." Although the show features several characters, the two main ones are Dave, a slacker programmer and stoner that plays games more than he makes them, and Jerry, a neurotic clean freak and Dave's best friend.
