Ep 3. Sublimation

In Colony season 2 episode 3, titled "Sublimation", we see the aftermath of the Resistance's bombing of the Green Zone. The Bowman family, who were caught up in the chaos, are split up and must find a way to reunite and escape the danger. We see Katie and Bram making a perilous journey through the ruined city streets, trying to avoid both the occupation forces and violent L.A. gangs who have taken advantage of the chaos. Meanwhile, Will and his partner Beau are tasked by Proxy Snyder with finding and bringing in one of the Resistance leaders who is rumored to be still alive. Will has mixed feelings about this, knowing that his wife is involved with the Resistance, but decides to follow orders and sets out to find the elusive leader.

As the story unfolds, we see more of life in the occupied city, where the occupying Hosts maintain their control through a combination of advanced technology and brute force. We also see glimpses of the motives and goals of the Resistance, whose members are willing to risk everything to overthrow the Hosts and regain their freedom. The tension builds throughout the episode, as the various characters navigate the dangers of the city and face difficult choices about loyalty, trust, and survival in a world where nothing can be taken for granted.

As in previous episodes, the writing and acting in "Sublimation" are both top-notch, with the talented ensemble cast bringing depth and complexity to their characters. The pacing is brisk, with plenty of action and suspense interspersed with quieter moments of introspection and emotional intensity. The production design and visual effects are also exceptional, creating a convincing and immersive world of dystopian occupation that is both unsettling and compelling.

Overall, Colony season 2 episode 3 is a gripping and thrilling installment of this excellent sci-fi series.
