Gary chats to Jason and finds out a bit about David's history and all the terrible things he's done. Gary continues to wind David up. Tina tells David to ignore him and stop being so jealous and childish. Ken takes Eccles for a walk along the canal and bumps into Martha. Martha invites him on board her boat for lunch. Maria calls in the factory and apologises to Tony for wrongly accusing him of killing Jed but tells him he was still wrong to throw Jed out on the street. This is news to Carla. Martha tells Ken she's appearing in an am-dram performance of A Streetcar Named Desire. She asks Ken to test her on her lines. Ken listens to Martha totally enraptured. Janice meets up with patient Mike in the hospital grounds. They enjoy a fag together but suddenly Mike collapses and dies. Janice is distraught. Colin takes Rita for a picnic lunch in her flat. Carla calls to see Emily and quizzes her about Jed and how he was evicted. Emily suggests Tony caused Jed to have a stroke. Gary spends the afternoon winding David up listing all the terrible things David has done. David finally flips and punches Gary. A fight ensues and Tina tries to stop them but Gary knocks David to the ground.
