Peter and Leanne take Simon round to No.1. Ken and Deirdre listen in amazement as Simon describes his train journey home by himself. Joe's burial takes place. Gail's grief-stricken whilst Tina's nowhere to be seen. Simon tells the Barlows how George was planning to take him to take him to Berkshire and that's why he did a runner. Tina tells the police how Gail forced her to lie to them and that she's planning to leave the country tomorrow. The funeral party takes place in the Rovers. Everyone's stunned when the police arrive and arrest Gail on suspicion of murder. George calls at No.1. Peter angrily tells him Simon never wants to see him again. Ken relents and lets George in. George apologises, promising he'll drop the legal action and admitting Simon is best off with Peter. The police question Gail again suggesting she was on the boat with Joe when he died. Gail denies it. Kevin calls at Molly's flat and tells her he's happy to pay for an abortion but if she chooses to keep the baby he wants nothing to do with it. Molly's devastated. Gail is charged with Joe's murder. She stares at the custody sergeant in disbelief.
