The show is made up of five parts that take viewers along as investigators try to find out about the Bell Witch. There is a descendant of the Bell family who wants to learn about the history of the curse. The show takes place in Adams, TN, as this is where the family lives. There are less than 700 people who live in the town. Many have heard of the rumors associated with the Bell Witch, but there are also some who don't think there was ever any substance to the rumors. Bob Bell owns a funeral home in the town. Roy Porter is a neighbor who is interviewed about the witch. There are stories that the Bell Witch tormented members of the family about 200 years ago. Some of the stories are about the witch pulling the hair of children and poisoning the father of a little girl named Betsy.
