After a brief hiatus, DC's Legends of Tomorrow returns with the highly anticipated episode titled "The Legion of Doom." As the name suggests, the episode centers around the formation of the Legion of Doom, a notorious group of supervillains who team up to take down the Legends.
The episode kicks off with a flashback to the year 1927, where we see a young Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) visiting a mysterious figure named Kuasa. Together, they retrieve a spear, which they believe to be the key to unlocking ultimate power.
In the present day, the Legends are still reeling from the revelation that Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) has been brainwashed by the Legion of Doom. While trying to figure out what to do next, they are unexpectedly visited by another member of the Legion – Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman). Merlyn offers the Legends a proposition: help the Legion retrieve a piece of the spear that has been lost in time, and they will return Rip to their custody.
The Legends agree, and the team travels to 1987, where they discover the piece of the spear in the hands of another supervillain – Damien Darhk. A heated battle ensues, and the Legends are eventually able to retrieve the piece of the spear and return it to the Legion.
Meanwhile, tensions begin to mount within the team as Ray (Brandon Routh) and Nate (Nick Zano) clash over their differing opinions on how to handle the Legion of Doom. Sara (Caity Lotz) is forced to step in and play mediator, but it remains to be seen if she can keep the team together.
As the episode comes to a close, the Legion of Doom is one step closer to unlocking the ultimate power of the spear. The Legends are left to wonder if they made the right choice in helping the Legion, and if Rip will ever be able to return to his former self.
Overall, "The Legion of Doom" is an action-packed episode that sets the stage for what promises to be an explosive second half of the season. The introduction of the Legion of Doom adds a new dimension to the already complex storyline, and the conflict within the Legends adds an emotional edge to the show. Fans of DC's Legends of Tomorrow won't want to miss this episode.
