In Deadliest Catch season 10 episode 3, titled "Darwin's Law," the crews of the various crabbing vessels are in a race against time and each other to catch as much crab as possible before the season ends. With only a limited amount of time left, tensions and competition are at an all-time high as the captains and their crews push themselves to the limit to meet their quotas.
One of the boats dealing with particular difficulty is the Seabrooke, captained by Scott "Junior" Campbell. The Seabrooke is struggling with faulty equipment and rough weather conditions, making it difficult to locate and catch enough crab to satisfy their quota. Meanwhile, several other boats, including the Northwestern and the Time Bandit, are having more luck and are pulling in large hauls of crab. As the Seabrooke falls further behind, the pressure mounts on Junior and his crew to turn things around.
Another boat facing challenges is the Cape Caution, captained by Wild Bill Wichrowski. The Cape Caution has already exceeded their quota for the season, but Bill is pushing his crew to catch even more crab in order to make up for a financial loss earlier in the season. However, as they push their boat and themselves to the limit, the crew begins to experience equipment failures and exhaustion, raising the question of whether they can push any further.
Finally, the Cornelia Marie, now captained by Josh Harris, is trying to turn their season around after several difficult seasons under the previous captain. Josh is determined to make his father, legendary captain Phil Harris, proud by catching enough crab to meet their quota and prove that he has what it takes to lead the Cornelia Marie crew to success.
As the episode progresses, each boat faces its own set of challenges, from hostile weather conditions to broken equipment to physical exhaustion. However, they all share a common goal: to catch as much crab as possible and secure their place in the competitive crabbing industry. As the season draws to a close, tensions and emotions run high as each crew fights for their chance at success.
