Ep 7. Out of the Woods

In season 2 episode 7 of Doc Martin titled "Out of the Woods," the small town of Portwenn is buzzing with excitement as the Portwenn Players prepare for their upcoming production of "The Tempest." The town's doctor, Martin Ellingham (Martin Clunes), is tasked with providing medical assistance to the cast and crew, as well as keeping an eye on his pregnant girlfriend Louisa (Caroline Catz).

As the rehearsals progress, tensions rise between the director and the lead actor, causing the play to be thrown into chaos. Martin's medical expertise is put to the test when a young actress suffers a mysterious illness, and he must quickly diagnose her before her condition worsens.

Meanwhile, Louisa's emotional state becomes increasingly fragile as she struggles with her pregnancy and her relationship with Martin. She seeks solace in the company of her mother, who comes to visit, but their relationship is fraught with tension.

The episode also features the return of Mrs. Tishell (Selina Cadell), the town's pharmacist, who is still harboring feelings for Martin despite his rejection of her advances. She attempts to win him over once again, but her efforts only serve to further complicate Martin's already complicated life.
