Underbelly NZ: Land Of The Long Green Cloud is a New Zealand crime drama series that premiered in 2011. It is part of the Underbelly franchise which portrays real-life events involving criminal underworld and police investigations. The show features a large ensemble cast of talented actors. Caroline Craig plays Detective Inspector Teresa O'Connor, who is the lead investigator tasked with bringing down the criminal empire operating in Christchurch. She is tough, no-nonsense and unrelenting in her pursuit of justice.

Gyton Grantley plays Terry Clark, the head of the criminal syndicate in Christchurch. He is charming, ruthless and always one step ahead of the law. Les Hill portrays Marty Johnstone, Clark's right-hand man who is equally cold-blooded and cunning.

Martin Sacks takes on the role of Detective Senior Sergeant Brian 'The Shark' Hickey, who is based in Sydney and is brought in to assist O'Connor with the investigation. He is known for his unorthodox methods and has a reputation for getting results.

Rodger Corser plays Detective Inspector Mike Shepherd, who is tasked with investigating the murder of a journalist that eventually leads him to the criminal underworld. He is charismatic and has an unorthodox approach to solving crimes, which often puts him at odds with his superiors.

Kat Stewart portrays Emma Jensen, a journalist who is investigating the criminal empire and puts her life in danger as a result. Damian Walshe-Howling plays Detective Senior Constable Stephen 'Supa' Lett, an affable but clumsy detective assigned to the case.

The show also features Kevin Harrington as Detective Sergeant Jim 'Stocks' Stockton, Marcus Graham as police informant John 'Champagne' Charlton, Firass Dirani as hitman Carl Williams, Robert Mammone as Melbourne gangster Tony Mokbel and George Kapiniaris as drug lord Nik 'The Russian' Radev.
