The Doctor and his companions, Ian, Barbara, and Susan, find themselves on a strange and barren planet. As they explore the area, they come across a metal city inhabited by terrifying and ruthless creatures known as Daleks. The Daleks are a species of monsters that have been genetically engineered to be the ultimate killing machines. They are equipped with a deadly weapon called a "Dalek gun" and possess an impenetrable armored shell that is resistant to most forms of attack.
The Doctor and his team soon discover that the Daleks have enslaved the humanoids who once inhabited the planet and are using them as slaves to mine for a rare mineral called "taranium." The Doctor realizes that the Daleks intend to use the taranium to power a weapon capable of destroying entire planets.
In order to stop the Daleks, the Doctor devises a plan to infiltrate their city and steal the taranium. However, the Daleks are not easily fooled and the Doctor's plan is soon discovered. The Doctor, Ian, Barbara, and Susan must fight for their lives as they try to escape the clutches of the Daleks and save the enslaved humanoids from a fate worse than death.
As they make their way deeper into the heart of the Dalek city, the Doctor and his companions uncover the true extent of the Daleks' evil intentions. They learn that the Daleks intend to use their new weapon to destroy all life in the universe and create a new race of Daleks that will rule the galaxy with an iron fist.
The Doctor and his team are eventually able to steal the taranium from the Daleks and destroy their plans for universal domination. However, they are forced to make a difficult decision when they realize that they cannot save all of the enslaved humanoids. In a tense and emotional moment, they must decide which ones to save and which ones to leave behind.
