In the fifth episode of season 10 of Doctor Who, titled "Carnival of Monsters (1)," the Doctor and his companion, Jo Grant, find themselves on board the SS Bernice, a ship transporting a collection of strange and exotic creatures for a traveling carnival. But as they explore the ship, they discover that all is not as it seems.
The ship is trapped in a time loop, and the Doctor and Jo are forced to relive the same events over and over again. They soon discover that they are not the only ones trapped on the ship – a group of entertainers from the carnival have also been caught in the loop.

They encounter a giant carnivorous plant, a homicidal ventriloquist dummy, and a pair of alien ambassadors with their own hidden agenda.
Throughout the episode, the Doctor and Jo must rely on their wits and ingenuity to unravel the mystery of the SS Bernice and its strange cargo. They must also navigate the complex relationships between the different groups of creatures and performers, and figure out how to break the time loop before it destroys them all.
As always, the episode is filled with the humor, excitement, and adventure that fans have come to expect from Doctor Who. With its clever twists and turns, memorable characters, and inventive setting, "Carnival of Monsters (1)" is a standout episode in an already excellent season of the beloved sci-fi series.
