The Mind of Evil (1) is the fifth episode of the eighth season of Doctor Who. This episode features the Third Doctor (played by Jon Pertwee) and his companion Jo Grant (played by Katy Manning). The episode starts with the Doctor and Jo being summoned by the United Nations Intelligence Taskforce (UNIT) to investigate a strange, alien device that has been discovered in a prison.
