Dr. Phil Show Season 13 Episode 9 Missing Mom: What Happened to Carie?

In this episode of the Dr. Phil show, titled "Missing Mom: What Happened to Carie?", Dr. Phil talks to the family of Carie Zapletal, a mother of two who disappeared without a trace in May of 2019. Carie's sister, Angela, and mother, Tammy, join the show to try and shed some light on what might have happened to Carie.

Angela describes Carie as a devoted mother who loved her children and was always there for them. She says that Carie had some personal struggles, including a prescription drug addiction, but was working hard to get her life back on track. She was living in her own home with her kids and had a job. However, on May 30th, Carie disappeared without a trace.

Tammy says that the last time she saw Carie was on May 29th, when Carie came to her house to pick up her kids. The next day, Angela got a call from Carie's boyfriend saying that Carie was missing. Angela immediately went to Carie's house and found that her car was in the driveway, but Carie was nowhere to be found.

Angela and Tammy say that they have been searching for Carie ever since she went missing. They've created flyers, searched local parks and trails, and even hired a private investigator. But so far, there's been no sign of Carie.

Dr. Phil asks the family about Carie's boyfriend, who was the last person to see her. Angela says that she's talked to him several times, but he hasn't told her anything useful. She says that he's been evasive and defensive, and that he's recently moved out of the area. Tammy says that she's also talked to him and found him to be suspicious.

Dr. Phil says that he wants to get some answers about Carie's disappearance. He brings in private investigator Jay Salpeter to talk about his investigation. Jay says that he's looked into Carie's boyfriend but hasn't found anything that points to him being involved in her disappearance. He says that he's also talked to Carie's friends and family members, but no one seems to know where she is.

Dr. Phil then brings in forensic pathologist Dr. Michael Baden to talk about what might have happened to Carie. Dr. Baden says that without a body, it's difficult to know for sure what happened. He says that it's possible that Carie could have died from an overdose or a medical condition, or that she could have been the victim of foul play.

Dr. Phil then turns to Carie's children, who are in the audience with their grandmother. He asks them how they're doing and how they're coping with their mother's disappearance. They say that they miss their mom and want to know where she is.

Dr. Phil ends the show by encouraging anyone with information about Carie's disappearance to come forward. He says that the family is desperate for answers and that they deserve to know what happened to their loved one.
