Ep 7. Cousin Gerard

In Everybody Loves Raymond season 4 episode 7, titled "Cousin Gerard," the Barone family welcomes their cousin Gerard to visit. Gerard is a bit of an oddball and has a tendency to make Raymond uncomfortable with his strange behavior and inappropriate remarks.

However, despite his quirks, Gerard seems to have a positive effect on the rest of the family. He encourages Robert to take charge of his love life and inspires Debra to start volunteering at the hospital.

As the visit progresses, Raymond becomes increasingly annoyed with Gerard's behavior, especially when he starts taking over Raymond's life and becoming too involved in his work. Raymond struggles to find a way to politely tell Gerard to back off without hurting his feelings.

Meanwhile, Robert decides to take Gerard's advice and ask out the woman he's been crushing on. Everything seems to be going well until he realizes that she's only interested in him because she thinks he's Gerard.

Debra enjoys her new volunteer work, but her motives are called into question when she starts to enjoy the attention she receives from the handsome doctor in charge. When the doctor invites her to a fancy fundraiser, she looks forward to the opportunity to dress up and feel beautiful, but she soon realizes that the doctor may have other motives.

As the episode comes to a close, the Barone family says their goodbyes to Gerard with mixed emotions. Despite his odd behavior and occasional overstepping of boundaries, Gerard brought some positive changes to their lives. However, they all breathe a sigh of relief when he finally leaves and they can go back to their usual routines.
