Meanwhile, the rest of the family is grappling with their own issues. Mallory is struggling to find her place in the world, while Jennifer is going through a rebellious phase. And Steven and Elyse are trying to figure out their own identities as they approach their 20th wedding anniversary.

As the episode builds to its climax, it becomes clear that Alex has some serious decisions to make. Will he continue down the path he's on, or will he listen to the advice of his family and Dr. Taylor? And what will the future hold for the Keaton clan as they navigate the challenges of adulthood and family life?
