Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids season 1 episode 17, titled "Mister Big Time," follows the gang as they try to raise money to purchase a new football. The episode starts off with Fat Albert and Rudy looking at a new football in a store window. Their football has been punctured and they need a new one to continue playing the game they all love. Fat Albert is determined to raise enough money to buy the new ball, so he convinces the rest of the gang to help him sell hot dogs at the local park.

Things seem to be going well at first, but before they know it, their hot dog stand is taken over by Mister Big Time, a local crook who wants to run them out of business. With his slick suit and smooth talking, he convinces the kids to give up their stand and become his employees instead. He promises that they will make much more money working for him than selling hot dogs on their own.

The gang is hesitant at first, but after seeing the money that Mister Big Time is making, they agree to work for him. Little do they know, Mister Big Time is actually a con artist who is using them to sell counterfeit merchandise. Mister Big Time has set up a booth with counterfeit merchandise, including fake designer clothing, watches, and sunglasses. The kids catch on after seeing the fake merchandise he is selling and that the goods aren't of good quality or at the cost in which they sell. They realise that they are a part of a bigger operation than they thought.

The kids continue to work for Mister Big Time, but they soon begin to have doubts about his business dealings and his motives. They start to realise that he is not the honest businessman he appeared to be and that he is taking advantage of their naivety. Fat Albert starts to feel guilty about what they are doing and decides to put a stop to it.

The episode takes an unexpected turn after Fat Albert is caught stealing a bag of counterfeit sunglasses from Mister Big Time's booth. The cops are called and the kids are taken to jail. Cosby Kids face the real consequences of the illegal trade they were involved in. This is a lesson for children, that even small actions such as the willingness to earn extra money through illegal trade carries consequences.

In the end, the kids learn that crime does not pay and that there are consequences to their actions. They have to face their parents and learn to accept the consequences of their actions. The episode's lesson is an important one for kids about the dangers of getting caught up in schemes and being a victim of scams or fraud. It teaches children to be aware of their surroundings and to never engage in illegal activities.

Overall, "Mister Big Time" is an engaging episode of Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids that teaches its young audience valuable lessons about the consequences of their actions, and how to avoid getting caught up in shady business dealings.
