In season 3, episode 17 of Four in a Bed, the contestants make their way to Hotel La Tartana in Nerja, Spain. This family-run hotel is owned by Bina and her son, Saville, and boasts beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea.

First up to inspect the hotel is Mark, the owner of a luxury bed and breakfast in Wiltshire. He is impressed by the stunning location and the tranquil atmosphere. However, he does spot a few issues with the bathroom in his room, including the lack of a shower curtain and a broken handle on the sink. Despite this, he enjoys the authentic Spanish feel of the hotel and the delicious local cuisine served at breakfast.

Next to arrive is Jacqui, the owner of a guesthouse in the Lake District. She too is impressed by the views and the warm welcome from Bina and Saville. However, she is less enamoured with the decor in her room, finding it a little old-fashioned and shabby. She too appreciates the traditional Spanish breakfasts, but is disappointed with the lack of options available for those with dietary requirements.

Third to arrive is Jules, the owner of a boutique hotel in the Cotswolds. She is instantly struck by the beauty of the hotel and its surroundings, but is not so keen on the lack of air conditioning in her room. Despite this, she enjoys the charming decor and the laid-back atmosphere. However, she does find the breakfasts a little too simple for her liking, and is underwhelmed by the lack of choice.

Finally, it is the turn of John, the owner of a pub with rooms in Yorkshire. He too is impressed by the stunning location and the welcoming hosts, but finds the room a little cramped and basic. He does enjoy the traditional Spanish decor, however, and the interesting conversations with his fellow competitors over breakfast.

Throughout the week, the contestants take part in a range of activities in the local area, including a flamenco lesson and a trip to a nearby market. They also have the chance to sample some of the local wines and cheeses, and to enjoy a delicious paella dinner courtesy of Bina and Saville.

As the week draws to a close, it is time for the competitors to pay their bills and leave their feedback. While all of the contestants enjoyed their stay at Hotel La Tartana, there are some issues raised with the decor and the breakfasts. However, the warm welcome from Bina and Saville and the stunning location mean that all of the contestants agree that the hotel is a great option for those looking for an authentic Spanish experience.
