Four in a Bed is a popular British reality show that showcases bed and breakfasts, guesthouses, and small hotels as they compete with each other to be named the best value for money accommodation. In season seven, episode 17, titled "From Nateby Inn to Ammonite Lodge," four more establishments are featured.

The first property is Nateby Inn, a 17th-century coaching inn in the Yorkshire Dales. Run by husband and wife team Nick and Karen Walton, Nateby Inn boasts seven guest rooms, a bar, and a restaurant. The other contestants marvel at the historical significance of the inn and are given a tour of the surrounding countryside. However, some of the guests have issues with their rooms, claiming that they were too small and lacked some essential amenities. Others are more impressed, citing the warm hospitality and quality of the food.

Next, the group travels to the Forest of Bowland in Lancashire to stay at The Red Pump Inn. Owners Lisa and Maurice McAnulty welcome the guests into their pub that has been converted into a cozy B&B. The guests are impressed with the personalized welcome on their arrival, but there are a few surprises in store for them over the course of their stay. Competition among the contestants is fierce, with some of them feeling that their breakfast wasn't up to the standard they expected. Others are more impressed with the modern rooms and stunning countryside views.

Moving on, the guests travel to the beautiful seaside town of Lyme Regis in Dorset to stay at Ammonite Lodge. This four-star guest house is run by Karen and Richard Hesketh, who have recently taken over the property. While the guests admire the breathtaking views of the Jurassic Coast, they are also skeptical about some aspects of the lodge. Issues with cleanliness, room layout, and bed comfort bother some of the guests, while others focus on the quality of breakfast and generosity of the hosts.

Finally, the contestants visit the Royal Oak Hotel in Welshpool, Wales, which is run by manager David Humphreys. The guests are impressed with the hotel's grandeur and history. Some of them even take advantage of the hotel's in-house salon to get manicures and pedicures. However, there are some complaints about the rooms, which some find to be too small and noisy. Once again, opinions are divided, with some impressed by the grandeur of the hotel and its classic ambience, while others focus on the practicalities of their rooms.

In the end, the guests must rate each property based on cleanliness, comfort, breakfast, and value for money. The stakes are high, with a cash prize at stake for the property that receives the highest rating. Who will emerge as the winner and which areas will the other properties need to work on to improve their ratings? Watch Four in a Bed season 7 episode 17 to find out!
