Ep 4. Bro-Bono

Franklin & Bash is a legal comedy drama television series that aired for four seasons between 2011 and 2014. The show follows two young, unconventional lawyers, Jared Franklin (Breckin Meyer) and Peter Bash (Mark-Paul Gosselaar), who join a prestigious law firm after winning a high-profile case against one of the firm's attorneys. In season 1 episode 4, titled "Bro-Bono," Franklin and Bash are asked to represent a frat house after one of the brothers is injured during a hazing ritual. The victim, named Craig, fell off a balcony during a party and suffered a broken neck. The incident is caught on tape, and the video quickly goes viral, causing outrage on campus and leading to calls for the frat to be banned.

Initially, the frat house wants to keep things quiet and pay off the victim's medical bills. However, Franklin and Bash convince them to take a more proactive approach by launching a "bro-bono" initiative to improve the frat's image and show that they care about the community. The initiative involves the frat doing community service, such as cleaning up local parks and volunteering at a homeless shelter.

The boys of the frat are initially resistant to the idea, but they eventually embrace it after seeing the positive impact it has on their community. Meanwhile, Franklin and Bash are dealing with their own personal drama. Franklin is still upset over losing a case to his rival lawyer Harry (David Pasquesi), and Bash is struggling to balance his work and personal life after his girlfriend dumps him.

As the episode progresses, Franklin and Bash discover that the hazing ritual was more dangerous than anyone realized. They track down a witness who saw Craig being forced to drink alcohol and then pushed off the balcony by another frat brother. With this new evidence, they are able to prove that Craig's injuries were not just the result of an accident but were caused by the frat's negligence.

Franklin and Bash present this information to the frat house, who are shocked and horrified by what they hear. The boys are immediately expelled from the frat, and the frat is disbanded. Franklin and Bash also use this opportunity to take down the corrupt campus police officer who turned a blind eye to the hazing rituals.

In the end, the episode concludes with the boys of the frat doing one last act of community service, planting trees on campus as a symbol of their newfound maturity. Franklin and Bash continue to work together to tackle the next case that comes their way.
