Ep 11. Driver's Eddie 2: Orlando Drift

Eddie has been bitten by the speed bug after getting his driver's license and since then, he's been trying to go as fast as he can whenever he gets behind the wheel. In the season 5 episode 11 of Fresh Off the Boat titled "Driver's Eddie 2: Orlando Drift", Eddie's love for racing and adrenaline takes him to a whole new level - a level that even his family can't keep up with!

When Eddie realizes that his parents won't let him enter a street racing competition, he turns to his friends Dave and Brian to help him sneak out of the house and compete behind their backs. He puts his life and his friends' lives in danger when he drives recklessly, ignoring all the rules of the road. Meanwhile, Jessica and Louis are trying to bond with Evan over science and invention, but their attempts hit a snag when they discover a toy store nearby and get sidetracked.

As the episode progresses, Eddie's confidence in his driving skills becomes his downfall when he crashes the car he's driving into a fence. He hurts his hand in the crash and has to go to the hospital to get it checked. Meanwhile, Jessica and Louis finally manage to have fun with Evan when they take him to a toy store. They let him go wild and pick out all the toys he wants, and the three of them play together.

In the end, Eddie realizes that his actions were irresponsible and dangerous. His friends are okay, but he could have seriously hurt them. He comes clean to his parents about what happened and faces the consequences of his actions. Jessica and Louis also learn that they don't have to be so strict and can have fun with their kids in their own way. The episode ends with the entire family coming together and enjoying each other's company, regardless of their different interests and hobbies.
